Plantagenet Hazard Hill Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2009
Varietal: Bordeaux White Blends
Vineyard: Plantagenet
Region: Other Australia, Australia
Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is the quintessential Western Australian blend with a nod to Bordeaux. The wines are typically fermented in stainless steel and released fresh and vibrant, the round structure of Semillon enhanced by the tighter linear tructure of Sauvignon. A true example of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts.
Lifted grassy and gooseberry notes with pronounced citrus blossom and lemon rind overtones that are fragrant, clean and inviting. The palate is supple and juicy, with delicious racy lemon and grapefruit flavours and a distinct minerally counterpoint. Lovely balance, harmonious and round but finishing with crisp and clean.
