Although the two varieties share similar flavors and textures, historically Pinot Blanc has not gained the same stature. Until recently, that is. Over 1000 acres are now planted in California's cooler climate winegrowing regions, including Sonoma, Monterey and Napa, and its popularity continues to rise as people discover how approachable, versatile and delicious the wine can be.
