What a superb vintage to close the millennium! As always, it started in the vineyards with a beautiful long warm growing season. Intense, dark, deep and tremendously complex, the 1999 Zinfandel VGS is here to stay for many years. Extremely aromatic on the nose, the wine finishes with a lot of spicy tones yet the mouth feel stays supple. The 1999 displays a strong, dual personality of extraordinary fruit backed up by complexity and depth of spiciness and sweet oak. The wine is intense and concentrated. This Zinfandel VGS shows all the care for the grapes and gentle handling that are Chateau Potelle winemaking traditions.
